General information

GDL provides electronic public access to information on hazardous chemical substances in German language. This includes German hazardous substances legislation as well as other sources reflecting the state of technology and occupational health and safety relating to activities involving hazardous substances. The listed exposure values are basic information to assess all risks to health and safety of workers arising from hazardous substances. The data base is designed for the use of employers, workers’ representatives and all persons dealing with issues regarding health and safety at the workplace. To be able to access further information it contains links to various other German data bases.

Each data set is related to a chemical substance but there are also groups of substances. Identification numbers, substance names or specific characteristics can be used as search keys.
